West Indies Knock England Out

The West Indies earnt their place in the ICC World Twenty20 semi-finals with an excellent five-wicket Duckworth/Lewis win over hosts England at The Oval.

After England scored 161 for six, heavy rain hit The Oval and the West Indies were eventually set 80 to win in nine overs and they held their nerve to get home with four balls to spare.

The West Indians got their tactics spot on for the run chase, keeping old heads Ramnaresh Sarwan (19 not out) and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (17 not out) back for after Chris Gayle (15), Andre Fletcher (0), Lendl Simmons (0), Dwayne Bravo (18) and Keiron Pollard (9) fell taking on the bowlers early on.
